Why availability is a moving target

Global Entry interview availability is not fixed. CBP staffs each enrollment center on its own schedule, so the open dates you see depend on the center, the time of day, and what has just been booked or canceled by other travelers.

Two things tend to move the calendar. New blocks of dates get released as centers plan further ahead, and individual slots reopen when someone cancels or reschedules. Both can happen at any hour, which is why a center that looks fully booked in the morning can show an opening by the afternoon.

Because everyone is pulling from the same pool, an open slot is shared until someone claims it. What you saw a minute ago may already be gone, and a fresh opening may have taken its place.

What our live feed on the homepage shows

On our homepage we surface the soonest currently-open interview dates we are seeing at several major enrollment centers. It is pulled from real availability, not a guess, so it gives you a quick sense of how the calendar looks right now across busy regions.

Treat the feed as a snapshot, not a promise. By the time you reach the official Trusted Traveler Programs site, a date listed there may have been booked by someone else, and a center not listed may have just opened up. The feed reflects a moment in time on a calendar that keeps shifting.

How to actually catch an earlier opening

Manually checking availability rarely works because the gap between an opening appearing and someone claiming it can be short. You would have to refresh the right center at the right second, around your job and the rest of your day.

That is the part we handle. You tell us which centers you can interview at, and we check availability around the clock. The moment we detect an earlier slot at one of your centers, we send an SMS so you can sign in and book before it is taken. Email is kept as a backup channel.
